My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rika May, a spunky 10-month-old ball of energy who’s sure to add a spark of joy to your life! While she might be a little chatty and excitable for the first week as she settles in, with some patience, she’ll calm down and reveal her sweet, curious nature.

Rika is an expert climber, so be prepared for her to scale anything she can find, whether it’s a bookshelf, a curtain, or even you (yes, really!). She’s a fan of scratch pads and will happily spend hours digging her claws into them, but don’t be surprised if she playfully nibbles your hand if you try to pet her belly—she's not quite ready to give up her little game just yet.

If Rika wants to be held, she’ll make sure you know by meowing loudly and attempting to scale your legs to get your attention. Once she has it, she’ll happily settle into your arms for some snuggles. Rika May is the kind of cat who loves to be loved, but she’s got her own quirky way of showing it, making her the perfect playful companion for anyone who enjoys a bit of adventure with their cuddles.

More about this rescue

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
