My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You'd really think at first glance that Mr. Chi is planning for world abomination, but fortunately for you (& the world) all he wants to conquer is your lap, your sofa, and maybe possibly your bed; but that's IT! Okay, maybe your arms, too, he loves to be held and doted on. & at 10 years old, he deserves just that! Mr. Chi is a lovely little old man who has very minimal, if any accidents in the house, he gets along well with other dogs who are gentle around him, and doesn't mind cats at all. Mr. Chi even loves being loved on by gentle kiddos, and just about anyone, really! He's impossible not to fall in love with, in every single way... ever. He's a pretty quiet boy who's looking for no more than your love, food, & short walkies! If that sounds like a solid deal, then Mr. Chi is your guy!

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!

Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
