Hey there, hoomans! My name is Bart, and I’m a charming 2-year-old black
German Shepherd with a heart as big as my smile! I’m on a mission to find
my forever home where cuddles and playtime are mandatory! Here’s a bit
about me:

-Affectionate Admirer: I absolutely love human snuggles! If you’re looking
for a furball to curl up with, I’m your guy!

-Social Butterfly: I get along great with other dogs, so if you have furry
friends, we’re going to be besties in no time!

-Playtime Pro: Whether it’s fetching a ball or just chasing after my own
tail (it’s a tough job!), I’m always up for some fun!

I’ve been at the shelter since November 23, 2024, and while I love all the
attention from the staff and volunteers, I can’t wait to find my forever
family! I weigh a lean 52 lbs of pure love and goofiness!

Please review our adoptable animals before making an appointment to meet one of our dogs. The shelters do their best to have a posting of photos of dogs in foster and dogs temporarily away from the shelter.

You may visit our shelter at 5473 Overpass Road, Goleta, CA Monday - Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m with adoption hours from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Our shelters are closed for lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Our volunteer adoption counselors or staff will be happy to show you any available dog for your consideration.

We also welcome out of town or out of state adoptions.

A dog adoption from the Santa Barbara Animal Shelter is $110 and includes a spay/neuter certificate, current vaccinations, rabies, health records, transition food, loaner items, goody bag, and a coupon for 4 free dog behavior training sessions which is funded by donations to K-9 PALS for the promotion of life-long homes for dogs. Dog license fees for your city or county are additional.

We are committed to being a resource for you for the life of your pet. You may contact our knowledgeable volunteers at any time with questions or reference needs for behavior modification, etc. We want your adoption to be "Fur-Ever."
