Meet Sophie, an 8-year-old gentle soul with a soft, loving nature. Sophie may take a little time to warm up to new people or environments, but once she’s comfortable, her sweet side shines through. She’s a bit more reserved than her buddy Petey, but she’s equally affectionate and will reward your patience with quiet cuddles and gentle purring.

Sophie shares an incredibly special bond with her "brother" Petey, and they’re practically inseparable. Watching them together is pure heartwarming magic—they balance each other out perfectly. If you're lucky enough to bring both of them into your home, you’ll have two loving companions who will offer you companionship in their own unique, endearing ways. Sophie might be a little more on the shy side, but once she’s settled in, you’ll find that her love is truly worth the wait.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

More about this rescue

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
