Here's what the humans have to say about me:
With those ears, short legs, and face; I will say, Shorty could get away with just about ANYTHING in my house! Just look at him! Estimated to be about 4 years old, Shorty is the PERFECT age for lots of relaxation, and fun adventures together, followed up with lots of couch cuddles! While Shorty is currently initially hesitant at first with stranger people and dogs; he warms up very nicely just with some treats, and patience. & while he hasn't quiteeee warmed up enough to play with his foster fursibling, he's absolutely content sharing snuggling spots, and of course, sunbathing spots! His wonderful foster dad took him on a walk, and he did super well! Although, he did say that Shorty is NOT he biggest fan of Iowa's cold weather, he might make a wonderful couch companion during the winter, and THEN an active boy in the summer! His foster explains him as somewhat-reserved, but a loverboy through and through. We think within the next few days he will settle in wonderfully, OR will he be settling into your home next?! Great news is, he's completely house-broken, and LOVES his crate, he sees it as his safe area; making it that much more beneficial to his adjustment.

More about this shelter
We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!
Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
