Description:

Cassian is a very happy cat who loves people and other cats; however, he is shy and timid, and he can feel scared in loud environments and feel intimidated by high-energy or domineering cats. His preferred home would be peaceful with no kids or dogs. He would enjoy the company of other cats, but they need to be the right temperament and not too many. He loves to stretch and get full body pets, especially in the morning, but he needs to feel safe and secure. If not, he will keep his distance. You will know he is ready for pets if you reach out your hand and he bows his head. If he feels threatened, he will run and hide, but does not scratch or bite.

Cassian wants a home where he can feel safe, so he can relax and be himself. It will take time to earn his trust. He will probably hide for several days in his new home, but he’ll come around. He’s a good cat who does not get into trouble.

Meet the Pet

Once approved, a meet 'n' greet will be scheduled.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If the meet 'n' greet is a match, the contract will be completed and adoption fee will need to be remitted.

Additional adoption info

We will adopt to out of state adopters but we do NOT ship animals under any conditions. You must come to us in person to meet the animal and make sure it is a mutual match. We have had many adopters come from the states around us and drive or fly with their new family member back.

More about this rescue

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
