Kerri bio - Welcome Kerri to Arf-Anage Dog Rescue.
Kerri was found living in a hoarding situation with 19 brothers, sisters, cousins, etc. It's unclear how they all ended up at County, but 90% of them are on the e-list. Arf was able to secure Kerri, and now it's time to find her a loving and permanent home.
Kerri is a special girl who has needs beyond your basic rescue. She will only go to a home that has the ability and time to work with fearful dogs. I can tell Kerri wants to trust. She has already let me pick her up and give her lots of love. However, she has to come to you. You have to wait for her to feel comfortable.
She will only be suitable for an adult-only home. She is not potty trained but has been using potty pads very successfully. She is underweight and needs to gain about 2-3 pounds. She is about 8 pounds right now. She is a terrier mix and likely won't be a shedder. However, we have no idea what she is mixed with, so no guarantees on being hypoallergenic.
Because of her situation, we are looking for a foster-to-adopt. This will allow everyone to see how she is for a few weeks before finalizing adoption. She is altered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She will not be going to events - all meet and greets will be done in Queen Creek.

We are foster based, but hold adoption events in various Pet Stores in the Greater Phoenix Area.
We can also do individual meet and greet for any of our dogs with an appointment with the foster.

Here at Arf-Anage Dog Rescue, our motto is "No Mom Left Behind". We specialize in moms and pups from local shelters as well as the Navajo reservation. When fosters are available, we also help with puppies that are owner-surrendered, "accidental" litters, or the last of a litter that someone just "couldn't get rid of".
Once our Mama dogs are done raising their pups, they are given time to recover then spayed, rehabbed, and made ready for forever families.
Puppies are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. We orient them into a foster-home environment and begin potty training and socialization. We find them great forever homes and in case it doesn't work out, we take the dogs back and find them another loving home. We offer 80% refunds on adoption fees up to 5 days after the adoption.
In some situations, we also offer assistance to help find free or reasonable spay and neuter services for owned pets.
