Mario is a male, Blue Fronted Amazon. He has been with one family his whole life, but his mom is finding it difficult to give him the attention he deserves and wants better for him.
Mario has been on a mixed diet of pellets, nuts, and dried fruits. He will make it known that he wants what you are eating. Some of his favorites table foods include pizza, pasta, and chicken leg. He also enjoys a piece of toast dipped in a soft-boiled egg. An occasional piece of steak, potato, string beans. And some warm oatmeal. ( spoonful) all given in moderation. If adhering to his gourmet requests he certainly will be your best buddy!
Mario's beak is deformed and it requires regular trimming. He currently goes to get it trimmed every 8 weeks.
Mario can say Hello, What Are You Doing? Night Night, Here Comes the Sun and Hello Sunshine.
His cage is in the kitchen/family room and he enjoys being a part of the family. He was raised with the family's mini schnauzer who taught him to bark better than him.
Mario loves wooden toys and rope with plenty of knots. He is very territorial of his cage. He can be taken out with the end of a wooden spoon. Once he is out he can be held. He also enjoys the occasional bath under the kitchen faucet.
Mario has been disease tested for psittacosis and PBFD.
