My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

❤️Wren❤️ We have been trying to think of the right words to describe Wren. She is not a tiny, fluffy puppy. She is not exactly move in ready. Her blindness will require a grace period as she gets to know her way around her new environment, where to go to the bathroom and her persons voice. BUT she may just be the sweetest, most loving dog you have ever met once she knows you are hers. She is silly and happy and will make you feel like a million bucks everyday. She can’t really walk on a leash and loves to explore so a fenced yard is a must. She has been excellent around all ages of humans. She will grumble when dogs get in her space to quickly before she gets a chance to smell who they are but is completely harmless. She loves to cuddle.. LOVES it! Belly rubs may be her favorite thing. She just had a dental cleaning so her breath is fresh for her quirky sideways kisses. Wren is about 13lbs and possibly a dachshund/ beagle mix. Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful animals, we ask that you please fill out our online application: https://form.jotform.com/223268341300041 We are a 100% volunteer organization and have to work other jobs to pay the bills. Please give us up to 48 hours to respond. Submission of an adoption application does not obligate you to adopt nor does it guarantee approval. We look forward to hearing from you. We are located in Pensacola, Fl. Local applications considered first, but will consider out of state applications if transport can be arranged. Please note all animals in the home must be altered, up to date on vaccines, and be on heartworm prevention. We understand there are some special cases and will take those into consideration.January 26, 2025, 9:18 pm

More about this rescue

Rosalie and Friends was created out of the President's dedication to help the under dogs and cats. She has taken in and rehabilitated the sick and injured for years. Late 2022 a well respected animal 501c3, Friends of the Escambia County Animal Shelter, dissolved and turned the organization over to Rosalie and Friends. We have assumed responsibility of several programs from them, to include sponsorship for heartworm treatment of animals adopted through the shelter. We also provide medical assistance for shelter animals and have a fospice program to get senior pets from the shelter and into loving homes through end of life. Our logo is "Fospice and fixer uppers" but that has not stopped us from helping others that cross our paths.
