My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Welcome BlackBerry into rescue.
BlackBerry, neutered male, 43 pound Labradoodle 1-2 years old. Was a stray into a shelter, adopted out and returned less them a month later, as other dogs in the home, not safe for him.
BlackBerry has lived in a home, mostly house trained, needs a fenced yard and needs walks at least 2x daily, and interaction thru out the day, otherwise he will pace and have anxiety to relieve his energy. He does get some anxiety if left alone very long. BlackBerry needs daily stimulation, and will not chew up things if he has toys available. Loves Kong large size toys. He loves kids of all ages, smaller children he gets excited and may knock down unintentionally. Loves to play fetch. BlackBerry tends to get hot, and likes to lay on cool tile floor. Needs some work on a leash as he gets excited and wants to jump around. gets along with other dogs, cats unknown.
Recap:
Pros of the Labradoodle
Good with kids and other pets
Playful and affectionate
Intelligent and generally easy to train
Cons of the Labradoodle
Requires frequent grooming
Needs at least 30 minutes to an hour of daily exercise 2x daily

BlackBerry is a diamond in the ruff, with the right patience and training he will be a great active family dog. Up to date on vaccines wormed, flea/tick treatment, microchipped located in southern Idaho transport is provided to approved home within the Pacific northwest. More about this rescue

The founders of the multi state rescue have over 80 years of experience in rescue. We saw the need to use our experience to help and we formed Journey Home. Our love and passion for helping neglected, injured, abandoned, homeless animals is our utmost priority. Educating the communities on the need for spayed, neuter, and vaccines and training as needed. We rely on donations, and fundraisers and grants to help sustain the rescue.
