Hi my name is Nova. I got my name because I was found New Years Eve. Nova the name, means new beginnings and that what this has been for me. New year, new me and new beginning to happy every after. This is my year of no more worries! Some nice people with the rescue got me as I was running up and down the road scared near the highway. They tried to find my owners, but didn't have any luck. Since being saved I have made all kids of friends. SOOOO many look like me! At first, I was a little nervous then realized, I love having friends big and small, human and dog of both. Cats I am not sure about yet as I haven't met one that my rescue knows. I am super smart. My finder says you can see me thinking and processing. I have energy, but am calmer for a GSD, but still love a good walk and fun activities, being smart is strongest superpower. I am crate and house trained as well. Do pretty well on a leash too, but I am not one to brag. I do to a couple day to process my new environment, but that is my big brain processing all the new information as I evaluate the situation to see who my best friend will be and give me the most cuddles and treats. We are a foster based rescue located in San Antonio, Texas. Our mission is to get as many dogs out of Texas and into forever homes. We are very strict on our vetting protocols requiring each dog to be tested for heartworms, dog/puppy to be fully vetted todate, with puppies having three rounds of shots, and altered before transport or adoption. Each dog that goes on transport receives a health certificate before departure.
