He`s had a rough start in life, coming from a bad situation with poor living conditions, but he`s quickly learning to trust and thrive in his new, cozy surroundings. This little guy may be small in size, but he’s huge in personality! He’s got a soft, fluffy coat that’s just waiting for some gentle petting, and his adorable little ears are always up and ready for a snack or a snuggle. Peter is still getting used to being around humans, but once he feels safe, he’ll be your best friend, hopping around in excitement for his next meal of yummy fruits and veggies! Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

Approve Application
Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

Sign Adoption Contract
If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

Pay Fee
Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.

You are required to fill out an adoption application that is subject to review. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason. If you would like to adopt and dog and already have a dog/s, please bring your dog/s with you so we can make sure the dogs get along. If you rent your home, live in a condo or mobile home community, please bring proof that you are allowed to have pets.
