Meet Slate – A Gentle Soul Searching for Love
Slate’s story is one of loss, but he’s holding onto hope for a brighter future. This lovable male tabby came to us after his owner lost their home, and though it was a heartbreaking goodbye, they wanted nothing more than for Slate to find the happiness and stability he deserves.
Slate has a few extra pounds on him, making him even more huggable. At first, he might seem a little unsure, but give him a moment, and he’ll show you his true, affectionate self. He adores attention, will roll over for belly rubs, and follows you like a loyal shadow once he feels safe. Curious and playful, Slate loves his toys, but he also knows how to relax and keep you company.
This sweet boy is litter box trained, neutered, and fully vaccinated. He’s ready to start a new chapter with someone who will love him as much as he loves back. Slate has so much heart to give—he’s just waiting for the right person to take him home and make him feel whole again. Could that be you?

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.
ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.
Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.
