My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Confetti – the adorable mixed breed who is the life of the party. Confetti arrived at the Shelter as if she has never met a stranger – greeting client services staff members by jumping into their laps, sitting at their feet for attention and even offering some kisses! She has been hanging out in a foster home to take a break from the Shelter. They report “She’s doing great! She seems potty trained (zero accidents so far) and does well in the crate overnight for sleep. She’s a quick learner – knows a few commands and is learning new ones quickly. She’s super treat motivated which makes training so much easier.” After a proper, thoughtful introduction with the resident dogs, Confetti is doing great! It took the resident dogs a bit of time to warm up to Confetti being a big gangly puppy but now they all play together and hang out.

Confetti has enjoyed playing with other pups after a proper introduction. Her play style is chase, pounce and wrestling so a dog that likes that physical play may be a great match for her.

Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
