Meet Puff Pastry – A Little Boy Who Needs a Forever Home

Hi, my name is Puff Pastry. I don’t know why, but one day I found myself all alone in the middle of the road. It was scary, and I didn’t know what to do. A kind person picked me up and made sure I was safe, and now I’m staying with a foster family until I can find a home of my own.

I’m a young boy with a shiny black coat and big amber eyes that everyone says are really special. I love to play—wrestling with my foster brother is my favorite! I’ve met other cats and even dogs, and I’m pretty good at getting along with everyone.

Even though I had a rough start, I’m a sweet, fun-loving kitten who just wants someone to love me forever. Do you think I could be part of your family? I promise I’ll bring lots of joy and purrs to your life!

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

Once your application is approved you will be contacted by the rescue and discuss the dog you are interested in and transportation.

Pay Fee

Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, health certificate and transportation.

Dogs over 6 months: $300

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
