Meet Thistle!

Like the wildflower he’s named after, Thistle is strong, striking, and full of heart! This handsome boy sports a sleek black coat with a unique brindle leg, making him as stunning as he is sweet. Don’t let his dashing looks fool you—Thistle is just as gentle and loving as he is handsome.

Rescued from a construction site with his siblings, Thistle has blossomed into a playful, affectionate pup who adores belly rubs, cuddles, and fun adventures. He’s fantastic with other dogs and kids, making him a great fit for a loving family ready to welcome a devoted companion.

Like any young pup, Thistle will need guidance and training as he grows, but with patience and love, he’ll flourish into the most loyal and affectionate best friend. If you’re looking for a pup with both beauty and heart, Thistle is ready to thrive in his forever home! He was born in December 2024 and is being fostered in Texas.
All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Colorado. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).

Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days. Note: MNS reserves the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal. Please be aware that our animal adoptions are NOT on a first come- first serve basis. Our sole purpose is to find the best possible home for the animals that fall under our care.

The initial phase of our adoption protocol involves prospective adopters completing an adoption application.

Following submission, our administrative team conducts a thorough review, and if approved, the application is then forwarded to the animal's foster.

Subsequently, a phone interview is scheduled to address follow-up queries, provide additional information about the pet, and acquaint the adopter with our organization. If the interview is successful, arrangements are made for a meet and greet, along with a home visit. For pets adopted out of state, the meet and greet and home visit are conducted virtually.

The final steps in our adoption process include verification of identification, finalization of the adoption contract, and payment of the adoption fee.
