My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Don't let this boy's suave good looks fool you. He is, in reality, Mr. KissyFace Huggy McUnderfoot who is, even when snuggling (which he loves to do), a very active cat.

This loverboy is all about the big purrs- even at the vet - and snuggling with available warm bodies, whether human or feline and probably would eventually love a dog.

While Salem can start a bit more shy at the start than his gregarious sister, he quickly adapts to whatever family is around. Like his sister, he does need to be wherever things are happening. If it's too quiet, he jumps on a friend cat to initiate play. Salem loves wand toys, toss toys, and wrestling. He absolutely needs another playful and hugging cat in his forever home. He would love to go with his sister Esmerelda, but they are not bonded, and Salem easily adapts to new cats.

Besides play, Salem has a strong need to cuddle with his humans and be recognized with hugs when he follows you to the kitchen, the home office, the bathroom. He is not a water cat, so hugging is not mandatory during showering time.

Just a note - Salem's love for his humans and FOMO often makes him underfoot so his forever home needs to be safe for his humans and for Salem.

Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent. We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level. This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.

Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue. Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.

Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day. Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet. We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier. If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day. If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home. We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.

Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age. We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.
