Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Desdemona is a delightful 10 week old girl who was hand raised and bottled fed from 3 days old with her 4 siblings after her mother was tragically killed by car. Her foster reports that she is very friendly, affectionate, enjoys other cats and is familiar with dogs. She is playful and fun and will make a great addition to your home and family!
Does this cat get along with other cats? Yes! Desdemona was raised in a home with other kittens and cats and greatly enjoys their company!
Does this cat respond well to dogs? The more important question is how the dog responds to cats. Most cats will adjust to a dog, given time and patience. If the resident dog's response to cats is unknown, that should be determined prior to adding a cat to the household. We can offer a few suggestions. Desdemona was fostered in a home with dogs and puppies and is familiar with them.
Is this cat good with children? The better question is how the children have been taught to handle animals. A cat will respond negatively if he/she is not being handled properly. We can offer suggestions on how to teach children to interact with cats.

More about this shelter
The Wyandotte Animal Adoption Center acts as the adoption facility for Downriver Central Animal Control. The intake facility (located in Southgate, MI) handles all intakes (strays, abandoned animals, court cases...). The adoption facility (located in Wyandotte, MI) brings the animals over (if adoptable) and have completed their requisite holds at the intake facility.
