Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I was found as a stray with my 10 little puppies. I am still a young, sweet dog myself looking for a loving home.
From the foster-Brie is the sweetest girl. It is hard to express how much of a joy it is to have her in our home. She loves scratches under her chin but is also content to receive any pets and will be happy to provide a couple of kisses as a thank you. She has already figured out how to potty off leash in a fenced back yard, comes in when called and has been an absolutely joy when on leash; no pulling at all and slips right in her harness with no fuss.
Brie has a relaxed, slightly timid temperament (she has not barked once since arriving), has done great with our kids (sleeps with our 6th grade daughter) but has been very shy with our other dogs. We believe she would eventually warm up to another easy going/small dog, but would do best as an only dog as of now. She is beautiful and more petite than what the camera can capture.
If you're looking for true companion that wants nothing more than your affection and love, Brie would make an incredible addition to your family.
I am currently being treated for heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious so your resident pets are not at risk! The treatment for this is 3-4 months long and requires a minimum of 3 appointments and strict rest/restricted activity. My adoption can take place during treatment, while TBB manages the financial responsibility of my heartworm treatment at The Bond Between Vet Center. Any other medical care needed outside of the specific care covered in the contract disclaimer, would be the responsibility of my new family.

More about this rescue
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
