My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I’m Tessa, Atlanta`s Most Adoptable Senior dog (according to the judges at Doggy Con 2024!). I`m also a sweet girl who loves the cozy comforts of home, especially when it comes to quiet naps. But don’t let that fool you—I also have a playful side! I adore going for walks, especially to the park for a little puppachino treat. Oh, and my potty habits? Always spot on; I do my business outside like a champ!

When I meet new people, I’m all about that soft, wiggly energy! My tail wags, and I keep my leash loose as I approach, eagerly soliciting pets. I’ve even met kids, and I reacted the same way—lots of wiggling and happiness all around!

I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve—I`ve mastered `sit,` `down,` and `shake,` and I absolutely love playing fetch with tennis balls in the yard.

I have a medium energy level, so a nice mile run or multiple walks each day is right up my alley. I have met cats and dogs in my foster stays, and do welcome any furry pals.

Just a heads up—I’m a bit picky with my food. I prefer wet food, but I’ll nibble on some dry if it’s mixed in. Overall, I’m a cuddly companion who can’t wait to find my forever home! I’m trusting, happy, and loving, with plenty of good energy for an 11-year-old. If you’re looking for a snuggle buddy who’s ready to share some joy, I might just be the perfect match for you!
