My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pork Rind immediately captured the attention of Happy Pet volunteers—a stray dog so emaciated that his ribs and spine were clearly visible. His fur was almost completely gone due to severe mange, leaving his skin raw, red, and covered in painful scabs.

But here’s the good news: Pork Rind’s story is far from over. He’s now safe and settling into his long-term Happy Pet foster home! His tail never stops wagging, and his eyes radiate trust, hope, and quiet resilience that melt our hearts.

Most importantly, he is finally receiving the love and care he so desperately needs. With proper nutrition, medicated baths, and some much-needed rest, he has begun his journey to healing.

After a thorough vet visit, Pork Rind now has a tailored care plan to ensure he receives the best possible treatment during his recovery. This includes proper nutrition, supplements, medicated baths, additional testing, and heartworm treatment.
