My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sitka is a graceful silver tabby with a heart as soft as her shimmering fur. Adventurous yet endlessly sweet, she’s always ready to explore—but never too far from her beloved brother, Kodiak. While he charges ahead into the unknown, Sitka follows close behind, keeping a watchful eye to make sure he doesn’t get into too much trouble. She’s his built-in safety net, his shadow, and his biggest fan. But don’t be fooled—Sitka has a bold spirit of her own, always curious and eager to discover new places (especially if they involve cozy napping spots). Whether she’s keeping Kodiak in check or curling up beside him for a well-earned rest, Sitka is the perfect mix of adventurous and affectionate, always bringing a little extra love wherever she goes.

Sitka is bonded with her brother Kodiak and they will need to be adopted together.

More about this rescue

My name is Amanda, I live in Southern California and I own and operate my nonprofit animal rescue, Kitten Rescue Life. I always wanted to make a difference to animals in need. The more I saw and the more I learned, the harder it became to stay uninvolved. Finally in 2017, a colony cat I named Henry ignited a level of inspiration I could no longer ignore. I began fostering and shortly after started coordinating for a local cat rescue. The two years I spent fostering and coordinating gave me a lot of the knowledge and experience I needed in order to properly care for animals and run a 501c3.
I mostly work with the young or neonate kitten population and severe medical cases. These underage kittens are at high risk on the streets and in shelters. Motherless kittens won't last long on the streets and in shelters they are at risk of euthanasia. I provide a safe environment for them until they can be adopted into forever homes. I'm experienced in treating sick or fading kittens and I've saved many lives by following practiced rescue protocols. I also have experience socializing and trapping feral kittens. I'm a huge advocate of both TNR (trap, neuter, release) and spay/neuter programs.
