My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone, I'm Snickers - a 2.5-year-old Wheaten Terrier mix, and I'm paw-sitively irresistible! With my soft, fluffy fur and those big, soulful eyes, I'm basically a walking heart-melter. I'm the perfect mix of a polite gentleman and a playful party pup - I've got "sit" down to a science, especially when there are treats involved (I'm a snack-tacular student!).

Whether I'm zooming around making everyone laugh or snuggling up to you with my tail wagging like crazy, I'm always up for some fun. I promise to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love into your life.

I'm ready to find my forever home - is it with you? Let's meet, and I'll show you just how sweet life can be with a Snickers by your side!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
