My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Parker, a resilient and lovable two-year-old, 55 lb. pit mix who has waited far too long for his second chance. He spent an entire year in a rural shelter with little to no visitors, patiently hoping for his happily furever after—and now, his journey to a loving home has finally begun!

This handsome boy is a pro on leash and adores going for walks, exploring new places, and playing with his favorite toys. Parker is full of personality and wins over everyone he meets with his friendly and affectionate nature. He’s incredibly smart, treat-motivated, and eager to learn, always striving to please his people. He forms strong bonds quickly and wants nothing more than to be by your side.

Parker enjoys running around and will keep your yard free of any unexpected visitors—whether that be deer, squirrels, or other little critters! He’s both house and crate trained, but since he spent the past year in a kennel, he’s still learning some basic manners. He can get a bit jumpy and mouthy when overly excited, but with patience and guidance, he’ll continue to improve. He plays hard and sleeps even harder!

He rides great in the car and is always up for an adventure. Parker did well with other dogs in the shelter but will need slow introductions to build his confidence and may require multiple meet & greets if there is another pup in the home. He met children at the shelter and did well, but he has never been around cats. Parker is a loyal, loving, and fun companion who just needs a family to call his own. Could you be the one to give him the life he’s been waiting for?

His adoption fee is $400 and Parker is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. If you are interested in this lovely lad, please complete the application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.
