Elvis was once loved, we can just tell. During the recent arctic blast of 15 degree temperatures, Elvis was spotted by many community members trotting up and down the roads day in and day out and being too afraid of anyone who tried to lure him to safety. He was burning all of his energy just trotting miles up and down the road, looking for someone. His bones were becoming more and more prominent. One morning, though, with the help of another friendly dog and some whipped cream, the little guy, now named Elvis, was contained and brought to safety. It didn't take him long to remember the good life, and now in foster he enjoys playing with the other dogs, jumping up on your legs for attention, and giving gentle kisses. Elvis is a sweetheart by nature who is a little energizer bunny - always on the go. He is not necessarily high energy, but he does have an active heart and would thrive in a home where he can go on daily walks, outings, and maybe even hikes?

Elvis is located in a foster home. We are happy to coordinate a meet & greet for pre-approved adopters. To get started, please submit an adoption application at https://bit.ly/HOTNADOPTUSA
Adoption process:
Potential adopters complete our online application. From there, we contact them to continue the screening process including checking references, vet checks, and a personal phone interview. Upon completion, potential adopters are pre-approved.
From there, potential adopters are put in touch with the foster parent(s) of the dog they are interested in adopting. If a specific dog is not in mind, admins will make suggestions based on who we feel will be good candidates for their home. We take the foster's opinions into high consideration when determining ideal fit for an adoption.
Once the dog is determined to be a good fit for the adoptive home, the adopter is given advisement on decompression, training, safety gear, and future preventative vetting. The adoption contract is signed and adoption fee paid to finalize the adoption.
