Oreo was found (by a family member) on the street in Houston in late Aug. 2024. Had mange and hook worm. Received treatment & the vet estimated she was 14 weeks.
We moved her to San Antonio. At last visit on Jan. 10th she was 106 lbs.
Oreo is very intelligent. Easy to potty train. Dings a bell on the back door to go out. She knows sit, stay, laydown, with me (like heel). Working on drop it, wait, & quiet. Great on leash. Loves treats. Loves playing with balls & fetch with any toy. Sleeps in a bed that is in a pen. Best to give her a treat to go into pen, because she resists sometimes.
Best for the adopter to have experience with head strong puppies. Oreo has poor impulse control. Will bark or "talk back" when she is scolded. Needs a lot of activity. Digs in the backyard. Good with dogs, but can be a bully by taking toys. Best if the other dog knows how to "correct" her behavior. Likes to play with kids but has trouble calming down, can cause her to misbehave.
