Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Great news! My heartworm treatment is sponsored, meaning much of the cost of my heartworm treatment will be covered! Adopt me today so I can begin my treatment.
From his foster mom- King is an absolute love and wants to be close to you at all times. He will protect his property and his person with a loud woof but at the end of the day, all he wants is to be pet and to lay at your feet. He gets along great with larger dogs, unsure about dogs that are significantly smaller. (My smallest that he interacted with is a 35 pound doodle) He does have a strong prey drive and would not do well in a house with cats or small animals. Due to his size and his inability to comprehend his size, I would suggest no small children that he could easily knock over. He is crate trained to sleep and eat in his crate. He does not appear to resource guard his toys. He will continue to drink water until you cut him off which can lead to accidents if he is not taken out regularly. He would benefit from some obedience training to work on his leash manners but is very treat motivated and would likely enjoy the attention.

Their adoption process
Additional adoption info
Orange County Animal Services has hundreds of adoptable pets at any given time. We operate on a first come, first serve basis to give everyone an equal opportunity.
We strive to place every pet in a furever home, which is why the first step of adoption from our shelter is coming to our location and interacting with the pet of your choice. Adoption applications can be filled out at our shelter once interaction has taken place and are not available online.
Once your application is approved, we will ask for payment of the adoption fee.
Standard adoption fees are $55 for dogs and $40 for cats. Ferrets are $40 to adopt. Pocket pets like rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters are $15 to adopt.
We ask interested adopters to please come prepared with photo identification.
We welcome adopters from out of county and state, but do not transport animals. Interaction is still required as part of the adoption process.
