My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Princess is a very loving affectionate dog with people. Because she was picked up by the ACO as a stray, we do not know how she does with children or cats. She wants the attention of her person and is jealous of other dogs and protective of her people. For this reason she would be good in a home by herself or would need a slow introduction to another dog by experienced dog owner. She was in a foster home briefly and made friends with their male dog who was older and smaller, her play was a littler to rough for him. She loves to go for walks and play ball.
With love and patience this beauty will make a lifelong loyal companion that will do anything for you.

More about this rescue

We are a non profit totally run by volunteers. We are presently focusing on the low income mining towns of Grant county, nm. where there is a huge need. We have saved over 130 dogs and a few cats from being euthanized in the shelters here by finding homes and transferring them to non-kill shelters in the last 6 years. We have recently organized and gotten our non-profit status. We also assist with spay and neuter and vaccinations when possible often from donations from our own members and volunteers.. We work with the ACO's of each village, and have donated needed items for the animals for their comfort. We also are starting a education program in schools to bring more compassion in that setting.
