Bubba is growing into a well mannered, cuddly, playful puppy. Bubba would do well with other dog siblings, or as a solo pet. He is really the sweetest tiny man, with a fun personality! Bubba’s mama was rescued by HFP two days before she gave birth so he has been lovingly hand raised in a foster home his entire life. Mama is a sweet 12-15 lb small breed mix, dad unknown best guess 10-15 lbs full grown
Ideal home will:
Have the time to commit to all things puppy! Please note puppies do not do well left alone long hours and need to be let out every 2-3 hours for potty. Long work schedule where the puppy would be left alone for 7+ hours can be difficult on most puppies and young dogs.
Solid plans for puppy socialization, positive exposure and continued training + relationship building -- commitment not just to puppyhood but to a lifetime of love, care, companionship and vetting. HFP advocates for Positive Reinforcement only for young puppies and training that focuses less on "obedience" and more on confidence building, relationship building and consent training.
$375 adoption donation includes neuter, rabies, dhpp, bordatella, flea tick treated, fecal tested/dewormed, and microchipped

3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home
Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time.
