From the foster: Hi I’m puppy #93, but my fosters call me “Poppy.” If you are looking for an easily crate trainable dog, I’m your new best friend. At only a few months old, I see my crate and my safe space, and it’s where I go to sleep.

Don’t be fooled though. I still have lots of good puppy energy and I like to go on walks. I am not crazy about the leash, but I won’t stray far from your side. The world is a scary place after all. My foster brother and I look like we could be blood related, or at least a similar mix. If grow up to have his personality, I’ll be a cuddler who loves the outdoors!

My foster dad gave me a bath and I loved it! That warm water and shampoo was the best! I also really like eating snow.

I can be timid at first, but once I know you are safe I don’t want to leave your side. I haven’t figured out house training yet, but I will use the outdoors if the opportunity presents itself.

More about this rescue

Colorado Puppy Rescue is a 501(c)3 no-kill rescue for young puppies. We accept puppies from kill-shelters in southern CO, NM,TX, OK and KS. Most of our puppies are mixed mutts under 12 weeks old, some are as old as 6 months. We do not have a shelter. All of our puppies stay in foster homes so the only time they are available for adoption is at our adoption events. We average 20 puppies a week and update our website with available puppies Friday afternoons.
