My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Fostered in Kenmore, WA and ready for meet and greets!**

Every now and then we meet a dog who is just so easy, just such a pleasure to be around, that we can hardly believe our luck. Bailey is the perfect example.! It's a combination of how devoted and eager to please she is, plus her ability to chillax and snuggle.

This gorgeous girl has intense, mesmerizing, secret-keeper eyes that can sometimes distract from the fact that she's a **complete and utter goofball!** Take a look at Bailey in action then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/iW0svi66BJQ

At about 1.5 years old, Bailey has a wonderful balance of playful bounciness and zen calm. She's fully grown at about 62 lbs of lean athleticism and ridiculous clumsiness! It's as if she's not completely sure where these long legs and big feet came from... and never mind those ears! Her joyous antics keep us laughing.

We think maybe Bailey is a mix of shepherd and boxer. But we really don't know! Breed doesn’t matter as much as her amazing disposition, friendly nature, and best-friend potential.

Bailey has met loads of new people and dogs during her time with us and she continued to impress us and make us giggle. She is friendly with new people but she is not obsessive about getting to them; she waits patiently and lets people come to her. This is perfect if you like a dog that is great out in public but isn’t going to be dragging you around looking for free pets and treats.

When she has a guest in her home, Bailey falls instantly in love. If they welcome it, Bailey will be snuggling within 3 minutes of their arrival.

With dogs, she is friendly and polite for leash greetings. Off-leash she is quick to invite her new friend(s) to play but doesn’t pester if they don’t accept. She has great play manners, with a classic “boxer-like” play-style, using those paws in a way some would call rough and tumble. Want to see her playing chase with her foster brother? Bailey would love a home with a playful doggie-friend, ideally similar in size so she can bounce around without worrying she could hurt her new pal. She is still learning her puppy playfulness is inside a fully-grown dog's body. Her foster family dogs adore her and have the most amazing time romping in the yard or wrestling inside. She's a vocal player, with lots of growls and yowls to keep the party lively.

This well-mannered sweetie has not shown any reactivity with food or toys, an ideal quality for multi-pet homes. We introduced Bailey to our house cat. She was polite but very interested in playing so we're thinking a cat-free home would be best.

Fully house- and crate-trained, Bailey has not had one accident in her foster home! Round of applause for Bailey! Woot woot! She is incredibly respectful of all the things around the house that are not for doggies- no chewing or counter surfing here! She is even a perfect young lady at the pet store, browsing fun stuff and taking her bath like a champ!

If you are looking for a walking partner, Bailey is eager to fill that role. She has great leash manners, walks with an easy pace, stays close, and is patient if you need to stop and chat or tie your shoe. Plus, she is already confident and at ease when tandem walking with another dog.

Can you see why we think this easy and delightful pup is perfect? If you are mostly in love but still have a few questions, please email gabriella@threelittlepittiesrescue.org for answers.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.
While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!

Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
