My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome man is Ollie!

Ollie is an approximately 7-year old male Shepherd mix and weighs around 40 lbs. He was adopted as a puppy but returned to the rescue recently due to not adjusting to a move the family made.

It has taken Ollie a few months to come around since he was very sad and confused when he was returned. He had been with his family for almost 5 years! But he has come out of his shell and is doing so much better!

Ollie LOVES to play and will play with you as long as you are able! He loves chew toys and bones. His foster has said that Ollie likes to watch TV and gets really excited at times depending on what is being watched.

He can still be somewhat shy around new people, but around people he knows he is a playful and happy boy! He needs a home that will be patient with him and let him move at his own speed as he adjusts to a new environment. But he will be so worth it! Once he has decided you are his people/person, he is affectionate and loyal.

Ollie can be selective of his friends, so he must meet any other dogs in the household prior to adoption! We also recommend no cats as well. He will need a securely stockade fenced yard!

Ollie is crate and leash trained. He was house-trained at one time, but has been in boarding, so will need a refresher course!

Ollie is neutered, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $225.

Additional adoption info

Every dog that is rescued by Forever Yours is checked by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spay/neutered, dewormed, heartworm/ehrlichia tested and treated if needed, and microchipped. We also treat any other illnesses or issues that the dog may have on intake.

We require an adoption application (FYDRadopt.com), a house check, and our adoption fee is $225.00.

If available, you will get an opportunity to talk to your chosen pet's foster family when you meet your potential new family member. This will enable you to ask any questions and learn all about your pet.

Forever Yours Dog Rescue does not have a facility, all of our wonderful rescues are in foster homes with families that take care of them and love them until their forever homes come along.

More about this rescue

Forever Yours Dog Rescue was founded on November 8th, 2011, with the mission of helping smaller animal shelters located throughout Oklahoma.

We are an Oklahoma City based all-breed 501(c) dog rescue, caring for the unwanted, abandoned, and abused dogs of Oklahoma. We rescue from local shelters and shelters throughout Oklahoma. We do take owner surrender's under certain situations.

We advocate spay/neuter and offer assistance in finding a low-cost option for those that qualify.

We promote adoption as an alternative to buying your pet.
We provide pet ownership education through materials, counceling, and on-site workshops, at no cost to the public, with an emphasis on preventative care.

We are all volunteer based, with no paid employees.
Please support us in our mission to attain a time in Oklahoma when there are homes for all adoptable pets by donating at www.foreveryoursokc.org/donate.
