This helps Wolf Trap Animal Rescue with pet care costs.
This Romeo is definitely worth swooning over!! Happy, loving, curious and playful, housebroken, totally calm and quiet crated, sleeps soundly thru' the night, very young but shows his full adult size, good with all dogs (and other animals at rescue before transport), has met kids and people of all ages, .....well, instead of going on and on I'll just say WOW, what a good doggie!!
And, he will be even more awesome when his lucky new family helps him with basic training, leash skills, and learning what his humans want/don't want, and having a routine. He really is the bestest-boy!!, but as a stray he just didn't have the opportunity to learn Sit, Down, Stay etc, and tho' amazingly good on leash given no experience, clearly will benefit from raining and is open to learning exactly the way and with the command words his new family prefers!
Still just a big puppy tho' nearly adult, so he can still be a bit mouthy in play, and is big enough that an exuberant jump up to kiss his people could knock over a smaller child, so caution and supervision would be required with very youjng children until Romeo knows the house rules and learns some basic commands, BUT he will also be a wonderful first pet for kids and is highly trainable and wants to please you----he's just never had the chance yet to learn that "Sit" will get him the petting and kisses his enthusiastic and eager jump is hoping for. If you can put in a few short sessions each day teaching basic commands you will have the most fabulous dog ever as your new BFF, adventure buddy, snuggle-bunny and loyal, loving family member.
Mandatory in person transfer date: March 22nd at the Petsmart in Tysons Corner between 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. All adopters must attend in order to finalize the adoption.
