King is a 2-year old Boxer-Pitbull mix (his brother is Butch, who is also posted). He weighs approx. 70 lbs. King's caretaker died, leaving him and many other dogs in danger. All other dogs have been placed. King and Butch are currently staying at property of the deceased, were abandoned by owner, and are unwanted by current residents, unable to care for them. They are able to spend some time outside in nominally fenced yard; rest of time kept in modular structure being repossessed. My husband and I are feeding and walking them.
King does very well on leash, even when other dogs are barking through fences or deer are roaming close by. Since they were raised around many other dogs, including Chihuahuas, they are good with other dogs. Not sure about cats.
Both dogs ride well in my vehicle and are gentle when given treats by hand. Somewhat surprisingly, they are sweet, well-adjusted, energetic, happy dogs needing loving homes.
