Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Little Mr Claus is looking for a forever home!!
It was discovered that Claus has a heart murmur and his official diagnosis is:
Elongated appearing mitral leaflets possibly related to dysplasia, mitral valve systolic anterior motion with mild regurgitation, left ventricular outflow tract obstruction which has led to severe concentric hypertrophy.
He was put on atenolol which he is tolerating well and will require a second echocardiogram in May 2025 (this can be covered by SIAR if needed). Claus could need meds and continued monitoring his entire life.
Claus' wish list:
1. Daily walks
2. Lots of human company.
3. A playful dog his size
4. Regular grooming
We are welcoming Claus a little Shih tzu/maybe shih tzu mix, estimated dob 6/2023! This little guy is a short stack and is a reasonable 13.5 lbs with a BIG personality. Claus found himself in a high kill shelter. He is estimated to be around three years old. He cleans up beautifully and did very well with his grooming after he arrived. He also did just fine with baths.
Claus is a happy go lucky little soul. He gets along well with the other dogs in household and plays with them well. He has figured out the dog door and is almost perfect with his potty training (needs more coaching with lots of rain but then who doesn't?) Claus is eating like a champ and enjoys his meals. He loves to play with toys as well. He is happy to take walks in the neighborhood daily.
Claus sleeps in his crate at night. He likes car rides too! Claus also meets people well and would love lots of attention.
