Hello! I am Bracken. My foster mom named me that because she found me all alone at Brackenridge park. I am not sure how I got there but so glad she found me and took me in. I was quite nervous to go with a complete stranger but once she introduced me to her dogs, and I was loving life.
We got to go for walks everyday around the neighborhood and that made me super happy. The only thing I like more than going for walks and treats and toys. I am not picky and will gladly take any treats you have to offer. If you ask, I will even show you I sit. I am crate trained and house trained. I am a magnet with my people and love to get as much attention and affection as they are willing to give.
I am nervous and unsure of strangers until I can learn to trust them so a house that doesn't have a lot of people coming in would be preferred.
I would love to meet you and get to know you a few times before making the big move. I am always worried when my foster mom and dad leave the house so I bark to remind them I am here waiting for them. I am really looking for a mature forever family that likes to hangout at home and snuggle up on the couch for movie time. I just want my own little family to be a part of.
Bracken has a heart that just wants to be someone's love bug :) You have to put in the work, but the rewards are infinite!

Adoption counselor will email you to discuss the inquiry/application,and give more info about the pet, the foster and adoption process..

Pay Fee
If you are approved to adopt, payments can be made on our website through PayPal, Debit Card or any major credit card.

Adoption application required. Adoption fees with transport included start at $400 higher prices for Purebred and/or highly desirable pets. Adoption application, adoption contract, return/foster agreement if dog doesn't work out in home.
We work hard to place dogs in the right homes, if the adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal, help the adopter screen applicants and help facilitate finding another home for the dog.
