My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Well now, let me tell ya somethin’, kid… life ain't always been easy for ol’ Roy. I may only be 3 years old, but boy, I’ve seen some things. The scars? They tell a story—one of survival, one of heartache, but also one of hope.”

You’d think after all I’ve been through, I’d be bitter, but nah… I’m just a kind, gentle soul lookin’ for a place to rest these weary bones. I get along with other dogs, but I like to take my time gettin’ to know ‘em—slow and steady, that’s my way. Kids? Yeah, I like ‘em. They remind me that the world ain’t all bad.

What I really need is a soft bed, a kind hand, and a place to finally feel safe. If you’ve got room in your home for an old soul with a whole lotta love left to give, well… maybe you and I were meant to find each other.

More about this shelter

It is our mission to inform our community of the state laws and city ordinances in place for vaccinations, tethering/chaining, and sheltering needs. Any dog impounded by our shelter can be reclaimed by his rightful owner during a 72 hour hold period. If the dog brought in has any type of identification we will make reasonable effort to contact the owner and the hold period will be 5 business days. Once the hold period is up, all healthy/adoptable dogs will be put up for adoption or sent to a registered 501(c)3 rescue. Please LIKE and SHARE our page to see incoming dogs!
