My name is Fennec!

Meet Fennec, a 10-month-old mixed breed pup with a heart full of love and a spirit that refuses to be broken. Fennec's early life was not an easy one. He was rescued from a hoarding situation where 15 dogs were living in a small, overcrowded home without adequate care. Fortunately, Fennec was brought to the King William Regional Animal Shelter, where he started to receive the attention and care he so desperately needed. But his struggles didn't end there.

While in the shelter, Fennec had a difficult time adjusting to the kennel environment. He was scared and unsure of his surroundings, but he's a survivor, and he never stopped trying to find his way. Fennec's determination to move forward, despite the challenges he's faced, speaks volumes about his resilient spirit.

Since arriving in foster care, Fennec has been making incredible progress. He is still a little nervous in new situations, but with the patience and care of his dedicated foster family, he is learning that the world can be a kind and safe place. He is incredibly affectionate, and once he's comfortable with you, he's a true velcro dog who will stick by your side. Fennec loves to snuggle and is happiest when he's close to his people.

Though Fennec didn't have much experience living in a home before, he is house-trained and his foster family is teaching him everything he needs to know to become the perfect companion. His transformation has been nothing short of heartwarming as he continues to gain confidence and learn new things every day.

Fennec is available for adoption and would do best in a home where he can continue his journey of building confidence.
