Hello! My name is Bentley and I am very happy to be here! At first it was a little scary, new town (I was rescued in El Paso), new people and I rode in a few cars since being saved. Riding in cars? Wowza! That was an experience! I was nervous and a little afraid but once I got comfortable, I feel like I finally hit a new chapter in my life. Life now? It's just beginning.
I love to lay down with my humans and get all the love I can get. Warning... I can't get enough love from you. I crave it. My foster mom says I have changed a lot and I look like a distinguished gentleman. Thats because after I got my vaccines and prevents, my hair grew longer and it is so soft and fluffy now.
My humans love to run their fingers through it. Did I mention that I LOVE the attention?
I am pretty sure that I'm ready to meet my furever family and live my life learning new things and having fun. In fact, I'm pawsitive!!

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..
If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.
