Jethro is an adorable pup who is looking for a home. He’s currently in a NJ foster home.
Jethro has come a long way since being surrendered to a high-kill shelter in Louisana. Prior to coming to NJ, his Louisiana foster home put a lot of time and effort into socializing and getting him used to meeting new people. It certainly paid off! He's still slightly timid, but along with that comes the sweetest disposition. Jethro is good with other dogs, cats and older kids. To continue to help build his confidence, Jethro needs to live in a home with another dog.
Jethro's NJ foster mom says he's the most adorable little baby boy! He thrives on cuddles and will happily snuggle in your lap for hours. When he isn't cuddling, he's chewing on a toy or playing with his foster sister. Jethro is crate-trained, sleeps through the night, and does all his business outside. He is definitely shy when first meeting new people, but easily warms up after a few minutes. He doesn’t travel well in a car, so isn’t suited to being taken on road trips. If you're looking for a laid-back, loving friend to add so much joy to your daily life, Jethro is the perfect match. Jethro would love a doggie friend in his forever home.
Jethro is fixed, up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $550.
Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
