My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Manny! This boy is the absolute cutest! He was adopted out from us a puppy and found his way back to us. Since he has been back with us, he has been great and very loving with our staff and volunteers, but we have found he is people and dog selective. That behavior may change in a home out of the shelter, but for now he lets you know right away if he is comfortable with you or not. He does great on walks. He would need a secure fence in whatever home he goes too, and a meet and greet with all family dogs and people in the home are a must.

You can meet Manny at our main ranch location or emails dogswmr@gmail.com

More about this shelter

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
