Dog located in this city: Osteen
Dog’s Name: Echo
Dog’s Breed: Bloodhound Mix
Dog’s Age & Sex: 4 Male
Dog’s approximate weight: 99 lbs
Animals story: (where found and reason for rehoming): Hi all- Our family is deeply saddened to have to be making this decision, but we are going to have to rehome our guy Echo. Echo is a bloodhound mix that is 4 years old, he lives on property that has outdoor cats and chickens, he does like to wander down to see his brother, but he is mostly trained with a beeping collar. Echo is a wonderful dog, who has a lot of energy, loves to play around, and just wants to be loved. He is a strong guy who doesn’t truly know his size and he is a great protector of his family and home.
However, we have a home with children and something has triggered him recently to become more reactive and he has had a few minor incidents with bites. I will disclose further to anyone who is interested. The bites were not aggressive and Echo has never shown any signs of aggression. We would love to see Echo go to a home that does not have small children, a home that has space for him to run and get his energy out and a home that is going to give him the love that he truly deserves. He would do well on property, a hunting companion (with training), or at the least a fenced in yard.
He comes fully up to date on his shots, neutered, microchipped, and overall a healthy guy. He is currently eating 4Health Salmon & Rice, (with the occasional counter steal of a plate of burgers) and is on Bravecto & heartguard, however he has been on simparica trio in the past. Please reach out to me with any questions or desires to take our sweet Echo and give him a loving home. Serious inquires only as this is already an extremely hard decision we are having to make. God Bless.
Personality: He is a great loyal companion, who is loving, playful, and protective.
House Trained and/or crate trained? Both.
Any bad habits or things that need to be worked on with him/her? Jumping.
Dog good with kids, cats, or other dogs? Yes he is good with older kids, other dogs
Animals vetting history (neutered/spayed, vaccinations, microchipped)?: Neutered, UTD, microchipped
Any Supplies that go with pet (food, leash, collar, bedding, toys): he comes with his Bed, Kennel, Collar, bowl

More about this rescue
Furry Nation Salvation, Inc. is a foster based all-volunteer non-profit animal rescue organization located in Florida. We commit our resources throughout Volusia County and surrounding areas in finding permanent homes for abandoned, unwanted, and neglected animals. Run by dedicated volunteers, our work is a heartfelt collaboration in making a difference for the innocent animals without a voice. Our foster volunteers “one on one” care help us to determine the animals true personality to best fit them into their forever home. We also promote, practice, and work, in the area of TNR (trap, neuter, return). This method of population reduction and control for feral cats has proven to be successful and we are committed to this method. FNS strives to educate the public on the importance of spay and neutering their pets and provide locations where they are able to do so at a discounted price. We assist in transporting animals to and from veterinary clinics, and help individuals place their unwanted pet who would otherwise be dumped at an animal shelter with an uncertain future. We do so by utilizing social media and animal adoption sites and always making ourselves available with support and advice. We love what we do and together we make a difference for so many. Furry Nation Salvation does not have a facility and rely on foster homes for our rescued animals. Our current goal is to establish a dedicated rescue facility to be able to help even more animals in need.
