Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Remington is a long-term resident at the rescue kennel. He has been here most of his life, now about 8 years! He is now an older gentleman, about 10-11 years old. He is a tripod (3 legs) but is still getting around very well with no health or mobility issues. Remi is very friendly and affectionate to those he knows and trusts. He loves walks, wading in the stream, playing ball, and car rides. He gets along well with other friendly dogs, especially female larger-breed. He is not good with cats, and he is not friendly with strangers though he warmed right up to the (female) vet techs when he had a vet visit! He gets very protective of his owner, so a home without children or close neighbors is best for him. He would love to have a home with a warm bed in a cozy house as a foster or adoption for the remainder of his life. Adoption fee is waived, and fosters would be able to receive vet costs, a crate, and support from the rescue.

our applications give an introduction to the dog including age, size, breed or educated guess at breed mix, any temperament quirks or likes/dislikes, housebroken/not, required exercise, care, fenced yard, other dogs, cats etc. We look for great matches for the individual dog and we do check multiple references before approving the adoptor.
