A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.

I LOVE MY Virtual Adopters! I AM LOOKING FOR VIRTUAL ADOPTERS
Why am I with a rescue group? Mindy was born into rescue on 05/30/20 - her mother was found as a stray and surprised us with a litter of puppies. Mindy was adopted at 3 months old. She was brought back to our organization at a year old. The owners stated she was afraid of her own shadow, and they were unable to care for her anymore. Mindy has been back with us since November of 2021. Mindy is the only puppy out of the litter to be returned to us, weird genetics or not enough training as a puppy, we simply just don't know. We know the dog Mindy has shown us. She is odd and intricate. We love her all the same.
Mindy is a dog's dog. She loves other dogs and is happiest with nice easy-going dogs. Here at our farm, she is frequently seen playing with her pals and enjoying the sunshine. Mindy is all about water and loves to dog her paws in the water bowls after we fill them up with fresh water. She is weary of new caregivers and staff she doesn't see frequently. Mindy will bark and charge a barrier without hesitation if she does not know you. This barrier issue is also present with crates. With her primary caregivers, she is very affectionate and loving. Mindy prefers women over men. She takes her time to adapt to men and women but more quickly acquaints to women. Mindy is very vocal and will bark at anything that makes her anxious.
Mindy will spend her days here at the farm, in an environment where she can set her boundaries and choose her caregivers. She is an under-confident dog and needs a special home that understands that. We are that home for Mindy.

Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you.
