Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Scooby is understandably confused. He was surrendered by the only family he likely ever knew and is now living in a loud scary shelter. Scooby did warm up quickly and showed is a little of his silly side, but we could still see the worry on his face. The shelter is hardest for owner surrenders since we know they lived in a home and probably know the comforts of a home. we do our best to make it as homey as possible, but it is still the shelter. Please come meet this big boy today!
Arrived at the shelter 2/12/25

*Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL
*The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.
*All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.
*Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
