My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

- Loves people and activity and likes to be at the center of whatever's going on

- Recently went on a Dog's Day Out field trip and had a great time playing with toys, playing in the snow, and getting a pup cup: "Winston loves cuddling and being a lap dog. He had a lot of energy, but after playing with toys and running around outside he was a great napper"

- Knows sit and down

- Uncomfortable around fireworks and other loud noises

- Enjoys like-minded dog friends, but he is not a big fan of sharing his food with other dogs, so if he will be in a home with other dogs, plan on managing feeding times, including giving meals and treats in separate areas

- Has lived with cats and has done OK; does best with cats who will not try to tell him what to do

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for age

The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, and not breed label
