Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Latricia, (undercover name is Mary Kat) is a 3-year-old Havernese weighing in at 6 lbs. This little girl has been held against her will as a puppy mill breeding dog. She recently was released after having her last litter of pups to a special Puppy Mill rescue team and is now on her way to becoming a free, exploring, adventurer in a loving, patient, caring foster home. She is learning to be the best snuggler. Well, once you catch her anyway! She is still learning to allow and trust humans to approach her. But once you have her, she loves to sit and snuggle on the couch and is happy to have you hold her. She loves other dogs, cats, and kids who can be respectful and understanding of her needs. She loves toys and sleeps well in her crate. Keeps her crate clean. She is doing well with housebreaking but will need consistency with potty breaks. A secured fenced yard or area is required, and another confident dog in the home to continue to help her learn and trust humans. She will be spayed 2/26 and then ready for her forever home. She is fostered in Durham, ME.
Adoption fee is $475

More about this rescue
Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.
PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites.
Please contact us if you would like to help foster, transport, fundraise or volunteer.
