My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Dusty! Recently, my caregiver and daily companion passed away unexpectedly. It was sad to lose him but I am now doing very well in my foster home here in Bloomington. I really like people and when I see strangers on my walks in the neighborhood, I wag my tail and want to go over and say hello to them! I also like meeting other dogs in my neighborhood.

I am a senior citizen and have lots of grey hair on my face and legs, but don’t let that fool you. I still have plenty of energy on my walks and, when I’m inside, sometimes I’ll play with my squeaky toy and start shaking it and prancing around with it. My foster Mom will toss it across the room and I’ll fetch it. I am a happy dog! I really love to be near my foster parents. I lounge on the loveseat when they are watching TV in the living room and follow my foster Mom around the house. They give me lots of pets and affection and I love that!

Due to food allergies I require a special hypoallergenic food because my skin becomes very itchy otherwise. I also take medicine that helps with the discomfort of arthritis. Please consider giving me a forever home! I am sweet-natured, gentle, quiet, enjoy being outdoors, and love to nap. Your love and companionship would make my golden years perfect!
