Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gunner is a 4-year-old, neutered male Belgian Malinois weighing 93 pounds, and he’s looking for a loving, experienced home! While Gunner can be a bit timid in his kennel, he’s been warming up to people and showing more of his sweet side. He’s a very smart dog and already knows sit and shake, and he’s almost got lay down down, too!
Gunner is a bit independent and likes to do his own thing—he's not overly interested in other dogs but is definitely focused on getting outside for a walk or some adventure. He pulls hard on the leash and has a mind of his own when it comes to direction, so he’d benefit from a strong handler who can give him guidance and structure.
While he’s been calm around people and doesn’t seek out attention, Gunner appreciates his space and prefers not to be overwhelmed. He’d do best in a home without young children, but a household with older teens (high school age) would be ideal.
This intelligent and strong-willed boy is ready to find a forever family who can offer him the time, patience, and structure he needs to thrive.
If you think you’re the right fit for Gunner and are ready to continue helping him come to the shelter today.
