Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Dexter was born around June 7, 2024 and might top out in the 40-45 pound range when done filling out. The story goes that a kind woman saved 11 pups from the neighboring Amish after she was told they were going to 'get rid of them' because they had not sold quickly enough. She got the pups vaccines and microchips and was able to find homes for a couple of them. After a while, she realized she needed help and reached out to us. Dexter rode well in the car on the hour long ride here. He was a bit uncertain what was all happening upon arrival but soon became a happy, playful, little guy that loves life! They are wonderful with other dogs and enjoy the play and companionship. They should be fine with children (was with a 5 y/o). We feel this little family looks Australian Shepherd'ish but they are likely mixed with several miscellaneous breeds. They have too much interest in chickens to live with any. (303)
The Adoption Fee for this dog is $550.00
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
